Dear TASHA Family,
Given the extraordinary circumstances facing the equine industry resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, with the cancellation of several local and regional shows, the TASHA Board of Directors voted to expand the May Spring Show to a three-day format, now scheduled for May 15-17. This offers barns and exhibitors greater schedule flexibility to attend and opportunities to show.
Additionally, the Board voted to redirect all proceeds from the show back into our equine professional community in the form of a post-show cash rebate based on the number of horses shown by each professional entity in attendance. With the goal of maximizing the rebate pool, TASHA will seek to reduce or eliminate unnecessary or circumstantial costs while also adding cash prizes to some classes. We welcome your support as an exhibitor, owner, fan or vendor through entries and sponsorships which will add to our ability to support our industry.
We are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation, guidance from federal, state, and local authorities, and will provide updates as needed. Rest assured, any decisions made about conducting the show are made with the health and safety of our show attendees and horses as the priority.
With that said, let’s get ready to show!
Yours in horses,
John R. Brand
